About time to write smth..

Today was such a wonderful weather to walk home in.. There was cool wind and light drizzle..

=) I had been busy with work.. but at least I do like what I am doing.. There is always something to laugh at every week..

Like there was one time, when I went into this British patient's room.. He was sleeping and I had to give him his medication. The curtain was drawn shut so the room was in a cosy hue of orange.. So I called out to him and greeted him a good morning.. Haha.. and this British man opened his eyes, probably still groggy from his sleep.. the first thing he asked was ' Are you an angel?' in that soft, dreamy voice..

Haha, I have no idea whether to laugh or not.. If I said yes, maybe he would think that he has gone to heaven or smth.. and thats not very nice..

I love serving the Brits.. For one, they have really nice accents.. secondly, they are really nice people and they always say funny things.. They'll tell you how they missed their dogs, cats, plants and all that.. and they'll tell you what bad luck it is to be in a hospital during their visits to Sg..

Then there are the Indonesians.. two things they have in common - they are dirt rich (and I really mean DIRT RICH).. and they speak really really fast! Makes me wonder whether they speak even faster when they arent so ill..

And theres this other group of patients.. the Vietnamese or Thai girls.. with ang moh husbands.. They are common patients in these private hospitals too.. and very often, their babies are more adorable than the local ones.. haha

Okay I got to go study..

These are just some pictures of a potluck gathering we had in Swei's place..

The cake says EAT AND BE FAT.. curtesy of me and Kah Ying.. Such a brilliant idea cos no one dares to eat the word FAT.. so we got to bring it home.. HAHA!
You dont get to see Ms Kah Ying all posed up like that often..

I baked a brownie from scratch too.. didnt turn out sooooo well BUT it is still good effort.. haha self praise.. Took pictures of the process.. had to crack eggs, wipe hands take photos, melt chocolate, wipe hands take photos, mix butter, wipe hands take photos,.... you get my point..

Kahlua added to the brownies.. half a cup at least.. I remember Swei was saying 'just pour'.. haha and the receiving end said that it causes drowsiness.. I was not surprised..
